FRIENDS FUNDRAISER: Sparklets Group Host Fundraising Event On Radlett High Street

A group of women who host fundraising events in the community hosted a successful active event on Radlett High Street last month, raising more than £700 for charity.

The community group, Sparklets, was formed more than 15-years ago by a group of girls who were looking to donate their spare time to charity. They felt passionate about supporting the work of Cancer Research UK, and since 2006, have raised an impressive £70,000.

The Sparklets committee were delighted to leave behind virtual events and return to in-person fundraising, hosting a special event at Activewear shop Boutique 8 on Radlett High Street.

Attendees took part in a HIIT class run by CMSAUK, Pilates run by Contour lifestyle and yoga led by Faye Jackson. All attendees received a goodie bag and local businesses in the village generously donated prize for a huge raffle hamper.

Danielle Plesner, Sparklets member told RADLETT News: “We are a big friendship group, established back in 2006.

“We set up the committee and decided to raise money for Cancer Research, particularly focusing on raising money for the children and young people project, as many of us are mums.”
